About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Data and Business Intelligence professional to join our team as a key member in building and maintaining data infrastructure while delivering insightful analysis through Power BI and Excel.

  • As a Data and Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools.
  • You will administer and optimize the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high-quality, clean, and well-documented data pipelines and dataflows.
  • Apart from that, you will implement and maintain data quality controls, manage special data projects as the organization expands into new areas.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SQL, Python, and data pipelines, along with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. They should be proficient with APIs and data integration methods, possess advanced Excel skills, and expertise in Power BI.

Responsibilities

This position involves designing, building, and maintaining interactive PBI dashboards and automated reporting tools for various departments. Additionally, the candidate will conduct in-depth analysis using SQL, Power BI, Python, and Excel to provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

The selected individual will present findings and insights to internal teams, financial institution partners, and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have an undergraduate degree in a quantitative field such as data science, computer engineering, statistics, or another related area. A minimum of 3 years' experience in SQL development and database administration is required, preferably with Azure SQL.

Candidates with expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard/report design), proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis, and experience with version control (Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps) will be highly preferred.

Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as GDPR compliance and knowledge of R for advanced analysis will also be beneficial.
