Bridge Design Expert Wanted
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled bridge design expert to lead our team's engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of bridge design and assessment, with expertise in Steel Composite, Pretension / Posttension structures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting feasibility studies for strengthening and repair of bridges.
- Developing new bridge designs and strengthening designs to UK standards, ensuring compliance with relevant design and health and safety standards.
- Performing design and assessment checks (Cat II or Cat III).
In addition to these responsibilities, the bridge design expert will also:
- Lead the preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, and ancillary structures.
- Evaluate bridges, canopies, sheds, signal gantries, portals, etc.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within tight deadlines, including verifying compliance with project briefs.
Required Skills:
- Bridge Design Principles
- Eurocode Compliance
- CEng MICE or MIStructE or AIStructE Accreditation
