Chief Information Security Architect

About This Role
As a vital member of our Trust and Safety team, you will design, develop, and deploy robust security measures to safeguard against adversarial attacks and data breaches.
You will collaborate closely with our engineering staff to architect and build internal security standards and frameworks. This role involves developing and deploying various security controls in line with foundational security principles such as least privilege, defense in depth, segregation of duties, and zero-trust architecture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security protocols to protect against advanced threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop and deploy threat detection, monitoring, investigation workflows, response architectures, and components of the security analytics platform
- Monitor and evaluate operational/security alerts to ensure timely incident response
- Conduct thorough threat modeling, design reviews, and security testing to identify potential risks
- Communicate risks to engineering staff through training and technical demonstration of secure design patterns
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate security controls in our infrastructure/platform
- Lead vulnerability management lifecycle at infrastructure, platform, and application levels
- Participate in investigations, threat hunting, and incident response activities; build playbooks for specific scenarios
- Support compliance activities, including SOC2 control implementation and testing, vendor risk assessments, etc.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of core InfoSec experience
- Familiarity with AWS cloud security and automation of security processes in cloud environments
- Proficiency in threat modeling, design reviews, and security testing of applications, technologies, and platforms
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools, ability to write automation scripts in multiple languages
- Experience in vulnerability/threat management at infrastructure, platform, and application levels
- Expertise in penetration tests/red team exercises, manual verification, exploitation, lateral movement, etc.
- Understanding of event management/SIEM solutions, data modeling for event detection and alerting capabilities
