About the position

The Core Maintenance Planning Team Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining and turning over equipment within an ENGINE Center.

This leadership position oversees a team of maintenance planners, schedulers, and permit writers who develop detailed plans and schedules for planned maintenance and project work.

Key responsibilities include integrating routine maintenance planning/scheduling activities with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical.

  • Coordinate planning and scheduling of non-turnaround routine maintenance work at various sites.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on planning, estimating, and scheduling for project work.
  • Ensure high-quality work packages in compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive accountability regarding standard planning and estimating tools and practices.
  • Accountable for growth and development of planners and schedulers.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations to ensure schedules are effectively integrated into the operating plan.

They will partner with Asset Maintenance Team Leads to feed planned work into the asset integrated plan/workflow.

Developing tools to streamline cost and execution forecasting accuracy is also key.

  • Participate in hiring and organizational design as required.
  • Support succession planning discussions with leadership teams.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Degree in relevant Engineering or Maintenance Discipline.
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience in a Maintenance Planning Leadership Position.
  • Strong technical background in planning and scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of planning processes including constructability and advanced work packaging.
  • Knowledgeable in maintenance and technical project planning and scheduling industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing site staff.
