US Patent Drafter Role Overview

Hourglass Research, a leading Intellectual Property services firm, seeks an experienced US patent drafter to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in patent drafting and be proficient in US patent drafting across various technology domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out independent US patent drafting assignments for esteemed technology companies and industry experts.
  • Conduct inventor interviews, manage email correspondence, and participate in attorney calls to facilitate effective communication.
  • Collaborate closely with the team, providing guidance and reviewing work to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving case laws and regulatory changes, imparting knowledge to the team and ensuring compliance in all patent-related activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly understand and grasp complex/cutting-edge technologies.
  • Familiarity with patent processes and a keen understanding of regulations and case laws.
  • Experience in reviewing teams' work to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
