Reliability Engineering Manager Position

This is a key leadership role that oversees the entire reliability engineering function, ensuring infrastructure resiliency and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing organizational reliability strategies aligning with business goals and customer expectations.
  • Developing incident response frameworks and on-call scheduling procedures.
  • Leading technical reviews for infrastructure design and high-availability architectures.
  • Championing observability and monitoring culture through standardized tooling and alert definitions.
  • Driving continuous improvement through operational maturity assessments and SRE OKRs.
  • Collaborating with cloud engineering and platform teams to introduce self-healing systems and latency-optimized service mesh patterns.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in SRE or Cloud Operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

Required skills include:

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, GKE, Prometheus, Terraform.
  • Advanced GCP administration.
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions.
  • Incident Management: Full lifecycle, tools like OpsGenie.

Nice to have skills include knowledge of service mesh and observability stacks, strong scripting skills (Python, Bash), and Big Query/Dataflow exposure for telemetry.

Scope includes building and leading an SRE team, standardizing practices for reliability and alerting, and engaging with Engineering and Product leaders.
