About this exciting role

We are seeking an exceptional Road Safety Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will lead, plan, implement, and evaluate road safety strategies across the state.

As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with government stakeholders, urban and rural authorities, law enforcement agencies, consultants, and community groups to reduce traffic fatalities, enhance roadway safety, and deliver on state and national policy objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and periodically review the State Road Safety Policy and Action Plan.
  • Advise on alignment of state initiatives with national road safety frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Develop guidelines and standards for safe road infrastructure, signage, and traffic management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Transportation Planning/ Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Public Policy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mobility and/or road safety in India.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful urban mobility programs.
  • Strong understanding of Indian policies, laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
