Seeking an accomplished Delphi Software Craftsman to drive the development of high-quality, multi-tiered desktop applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating robust, efficient solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Delphi and SQL Server database principles, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to distil requirements, conduct thorough analysis, and design innovative software solutions.

  • Maintain and develop customized Delphi Windows applications to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Extract valuable insights from legacy Delphi applications to inform green field project development.
  • Perform rigorous unit testing and troubleshooting of Delphi Windows applications, leveraging SQL Server databases to identify and resolve issues.
  • Run and monitor software performance tests to pinpoint areas for improvement and optimize application performance.
  • Analyse test results to identify problem areas and deliver targeted solutions.
  • Work closely with the QA team to resolve issues with custom software products and company systems.
  • Create technical documentation using industry-standard tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Word, and Excel.
Technical Requirements:
  • No less than 5 years of experience designing/developing Delphi Windows applications and SQL Server database stored procedures (T-SQL).
  • Able to complete all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, functionality, testing, and support.
  • At least 8 years of experience working in both independent and team-oriented environments.
  • Delphi 6 or higher (Object Oriented Pascal) experience.
  • Strong adherence to Object Oriented design principles and patterns.
  • SQL Server 2012 or higher experience.
  • Familiarity with T-SQL and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Delphi package development.
  • Logical and physical RDBMS data modeling experience.
  • Source control/ALM software expertise.
  • Software versioning and release management experience.
