We are seeking a seasoned engineer with hands-on expertise in Functional Programming, Microservices architecture, and Cloud deployment patterns.

This role demands a profound understanding of modern Java features, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development strategies.

  • Design microservices using modern Java functional programming concepts to create scalable and maintainable systems.
  • Collaborate on event-driven systems utilizing Kafka and apply architectural patterns like Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar to enhance system efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure the highest quality of code.
  • Develop and deploy applications in public clouds leveraging services like Cloud Run, Containerization, and other equivalents.
  • Write clean, testable, and scalable code emphasizing readability and maintainability principles.
  • Contribute to the adoption of modern Java features, including Pattern Matching, Records, and Record Patterns to improve coding efficiency.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Core Java & Functional Programming to handle complex tasks efficiently.
  • Deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations to optimize system performance.
  • Hands-on experience with newer Java features (preferably Java 17+) and familiarity with Java 21 for enhanced functionality.
  • Strong proficiency in immutable data structures, pure functions, and clean code principles to ensure high-quality code.

Microservices & Architecture:

  • Thorough knowledge of microservices design patterns including:
  • Choreography (Kafka-based)
  • Strangler Pattern
  • Sidecar Pattern
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or other message brokers in an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) for efficient communication.

Cloud & DevOps:

  • Hands-on experience deploying applications in public clouds or another provider for seamless scalability.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Run, Containerization, or equivalents in other clouds for streamlined deployments.
  • Understanding of deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices for enhanced efficiency.
