Role Overview

The Research Associate will work closely with state government institutions to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy design in Madhya Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues.
  • Analyse large datasets and apply econometric/statistical techniques for policy insights.
  • Draft policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Engage with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders.
  • Contribute to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges.
  • Support project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building.
  • Work with other researchers to ensure high-quality outputs.

Qualification & Experience

  • A Master's, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputed institution is required.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics, including Stata, R, or Python, is necessary.
  • The ability to design and independently manage research projects is critical.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
  • Adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment is vital.
  • Candidates with prior work experience in state-level or applied policy research, especially in Madhya Pradesh, will be preferred.
