Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

Skillful quality assurance engineers are highly sought after in today's industry to elevate products and services with respect to defect rates, automation, and performance.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create customer-centric experiences by building tools and testing software.
  • Develop functional test cases and maintain system & integration test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionalities and report results.
  • Track and report metrics such as velocity, code quality, and defect density across all phases.
  • Document testing results, including expected behavior and detailed steps to reproduce defects.
  • Provide quality sign-off to project teams and execute testing duties as assigned.
  • Configure QA performance/load test design and execution to ensure high-performance software environment under load.
  • Mimic end-user behavior in QA through client usage and feedback incorporated into test scripts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field required.
  • 3+ years of application testing experience necessary.
  • Expertise in use case generation, manual testing, and bug lifecycle management essential.
  • Strong understanding of relational database models (relational/document-based) and GUI tools required.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment a must.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test case management tools such as JIRA, Azure TFS, and Git preferred.
  • Ability to work with multi-browser and mobile device systems advantageous.
  • Good customer empathy and strong communication skills required.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and passion for building amazing products essential.
  • Strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills desired.
  • Proficiency in C#, JUnit/TestNG, Jenkins, Playwright, Selenium, SoapUI, and REST API test automation beneficial.
