Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, focusing on hotel, resort, and township developments. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, strong project management expertise, and a deep understanding of civil engineering standards and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and mapping, ensuring timely completion and effective budget management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, incorporating input from architects, contractors, and consultants.
  • Managing project teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and site staff, to address project-related concerns and issues.
  • Conducting regular site inspections, meetings, and quality checks to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing proper budgetary and target planning to meet project objectives.
  • Preparing and presenting progress reports, budgets, handover lists, and working updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, addressing grievances efficiently, and maintaining open communication channels with team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in hotel/resort project environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of project viability assessment for new developments, with proficiency in civil engineering software an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with comfort with frequent travel and on-site presence.
