Job Title: High-Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HPC cluster manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining large-scale HPC clusters, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of HPC and VDI clusters, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
  • User account management for HPC onboarding and offboarding, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Creation and maintenance of AMI images in AMI accounts, streamlining the imaging process.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on HPC clusters, guaranteeing stability and efficiency.
  • Support HPC necessary components and native services of the platform by coordinating with respective providers.
  • AWS Managed Active Directory support and management, ensuring secure and reliable directory services.
  • Continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components - OS, Java, Python, EFPortal, etc., staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Implement and maintain necessary compliance controls i.e., US Export Control, Confidentiality.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience in administration of HPC and VDI clusters, deploy and configure AWS Parallel Cluster for HPC workload orchestration with CFT, deploy and configure AWS Managed active directory, provision Amazon Storage FSx for NetApp and Lustre with HPC.
  • Excellent written and presentation/verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Redhat/CentOS Linux environment experience.
  • PBS job scheduler setup and supporting PBS servers experience.
  • Rocky Linux; bash scripting experience.
  • Docker, Kubernetes experience.
  • Storage knowledge.
  • Networking and DevOps knowledge.
