Special Educator Job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children and adults with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Provide customized instruction to students based on their learning styles and abilities.
  • Modify the standard curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans and use positive behavior supports.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to support students' academic and social development.
  • Assess and track student performance and progress regularly, adjusting goals accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, assessments, and communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or P.G. Diploma or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent in Multiple Disabilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Excellent communication, patience, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive aids and devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Tamil languages.
