Job Title: Principal DevOps Engineer

Role Summary:
State Street is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to spearhead our DevOps initiatives and drive continuous improvement in our software development and deployment processes. As a DevOps Lead, you will play a critical role in optimizing our development workflows, automating infrastructure provisioning, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across development and operations teams.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.
2. Lead the implementation of infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to provision, configure, and manage cloud-based resources.
3. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of software releases.
4. Establish robust monitoring and logging mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk to proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats.
5. Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for infrastructure and application security, including vulnerability scanning, access controls, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
6. Drive the adoption of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) to enhance portability, scalability, and resource utilization.

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience 15+ years in a DevOps role, with a track record of successfully leading DevOps initiatives and driving process improvements.
Deep understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies, with hands-on experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and configuration management.
Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services, with experience in architecting and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
Proficiency in IAC languages like Terraform, CloudFormation.
Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tooling development.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
