Aircraft Fatigue Analysis Job Description

Our organization is seeking a skilled Aircraft Fatigue Analysis Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing the fatigue behavior of aircraft structures, identifying potential failure modes, and developing mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fatigue analysis on aircraft structures using advanced software tools such as NASGRO and MSC NASTRAN
  • Develop and implement fatigue design philosophies for aircraft components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize fatigue-related issues
  • Contribute to the development of documentation and reports related to fatigue analysis and design

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of fatigue theory and its application to aircraft structures
  • Proficiency in computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools such as CATIA V5
  • Experience with fatigue analysis software such as PATRAN and HyperMESH
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Knowledge of fatigue design guidelines and principles
  • Experience with damage tolerance analysis and crack propagation analysis
  • Awareness of inspection techniques for crack propagation analysis
  • Basic knowledge of composite materials and their behavior under fatigue loading
