Automation Testing Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Testing Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing and be able to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and define automation strategies.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts that ensure product quality across different modules.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent and reliable deployments.
  • Analyze test failures, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to faster resolution of defects.
  • Evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
  • Strong experience in building automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Experience with REST API testing and integrating API validations into automation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Solid understanding of test design principles, test coverage analysis, and automation strategy.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar for test and defect management.
