Job Title: Assistant Manager

About the Role:

  • The role involves managing a team of 5-6 members and providing high-quality risk assessments for individual accounts or portfolios. This encompasses evaluating and improving the end-to-end catastrophe modeling process to enhance efficiency, while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Responsibilities include analyzing location information, prioritizing high-value and high-risk locations, and maintaining exposure databases to support underwriters in queries and exposure movement year over year.
  • Key tasks also involve contributing ideas for process enhancement and improvement, interpreting model results to provide risk-specific observations to underwriters, handling internal and client calls, managing work allocations, and overseeing governance and projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Cat modelling/Treaty modelling with insurance/reinsurance background.
  • Proficiency in AIR touchstone, SQL, MS office, along with excellent analytical skills, Excel manipulation, functions at a foundation level, good problem-solving skills, and relevant insurance certification/Insurance projects in dissertation.
  • Advanced Excel/VBA programming language and team management skills are essential.
