Job Title: Operational Efficiency Manager

Role Summary:

The Regional Operational Efficiency Manager plays a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement across the region by implementing harmonized processes, optimizing target operating models, and enhancing operational efficiencies.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with regional teams to review and refine target operating models, ensuring alignment with regional requirements. Develop and implement standardized processes across the region to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.

  • Effective Technology Deployment

Help identify and prioritize automation opportunities to reduce manual processes and operational redundancies. Foster best practice sharing between regional agencies and promote technology adoption.

  • High-Performance Agency Network Management

Develop a high-performance mindset within regional agencies and monitor performance metrics to improve agency performance. Drive initiatives that encourage best practices sharing, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement within agency networks.

  • Regional Improvement Projects

Lead regional improvement projects focusing on operational waste reduction, simplification, and efficiency gains. Conduct regular assessments to uncover opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and simplification across various functions.

  • Regional Deployments

Deploy target operating models in regions to minimize exceptions and manage expectations. Implement new tools and processes, monitoring adoption before handover to business units.

  • Project Management and HO Contribution

Participate in global projects, working closely with HO teams and external teams to manage project implementation. Provide regional specificities and process needs as a focal point for the region.

  • Implementation of New Clusters or Agencies

Set up and implement new regional clusters or agencies, aligning with business standards and operational targets. Provide guidance on standard operating procedures, resource allocation, and technology requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role demands conceptual and strategic thinking, advanced problem-solving, and decision-making skills. An inspiring management style that incorporates a collaborative, bold, and teamwork-driven approach.

  • Degree in Maritime Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain, or business management.
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience in project management and/or business process improvement.
  • Certification in LEAN Six Sigma, Project Management advantageous.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture and align operational processes with strategic business goals.
  • Change Management: Skilled in managing change effectively to drive the adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Technology Acumen: Knowledgeable about new and emerging technologies, identifying and deploying relevant tools for process improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive in identifying opportunities to reduce waste, automate tasks, and simplify workflows (Lean and Six Sigma knowledge).
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, assess performance, and inform process optimizations.
