Transform Information into Intelligence

Micron Technology, a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions, seeks a talented System Product Engineer to join its team. As a key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments, you will play a crucial role in enabling Micron's products with flawless and issue-free release to both internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and maintain manufacturing firmware for testing of SSD/mNAND products.
  • Collaborate with Test Process Engineers to understand test requirements and develop Manufacturing FW to self-test SSD/mNAND.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, improve DPM, and optimize code for TTR improvements.
  • Develop Manufacturing FW release and validation plans to ensure smooth integration with production floor.
  • Ensure devices manufactured meet or exceed required functionality, usability, quality/reliability, and performance with efficient manufacturing firmware.
  • Involve in End-to-End product development, understanding system architecture to identify early life failures on media.
  • Design and develop high-quality, cost-efficient test strategies.
  • Support failure analysis from NPI to HVM stage.
  • Perform manufacturing yield evaluation and data analysis.

Required Skills:

  • Good C/C++ programming skills with experience in embedded system design and development.
  • Manufacturing firmware development/validation experience on complex storage-specific memory controllers.
  • Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.
  • Debugging complex production issues using in-house debug environments.
  • Define and improve testing methods to address new product characterization and qualification issues.
  • Experience with interfaces like PCIe/NVMe, SATA, UFS, I2C, SPI, and SMBUS would be an advantage.
  • Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage.
  • Good understanding and experience with Unix/Linux operating systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Education & Experience:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with at least 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
