Interior Design Manager Job Summary

Job Description:

As an Interior Design Manager, you will lead a team of designers in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces. You will be responsible for overseeing the design process, from concept to completion, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyze and guide space and design planning for implementation of interior design strategies.
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and staff to communicate and enforce project goals and deadlines.
  • Work with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
  • Analyze movement and use patterns of the space.
  • Prepare sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients.
  • Consult with clients to select materials, furnishings, and decor.
  • Use design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
  • Determine timelines and project costs and presents accurate estimates to clients.
  • Order or obtain necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
  • Oversee the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by visiting the project on completion with the client; resolve any complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.
  • Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software. Proficiency in Google Sketch-up.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
