About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to join our BigSpring Core team, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing frontend projects. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical architecture of our platform's user-facing experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage cutting-edge web technologies, including Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript, AWS, and GraphQL. As part of our innovative team, you'll have the chance to collaborate on pioneering projects that involve Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs).

  • Design and develop scalable, performant frontend systems using React (often with Next.js) and TypeScript.
  • Create elegant, intuitive interfaces that enhance the user experience.
  • Build reusable component libraries and design systems to promote consistency and velocity across multiple product surfaces.
  • Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility at scale.
  • Integrate AI-driven product features and dynamic data flows into the frontend experience.
  • Work within a modern cloud-native stack (e.g., Vercel, AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines) alongside backend and infra teammates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, backend engineers, and users to translate requirements and feedback into effective frontend solutions.
  • Tackle ownership of the user experience, applying UI/UX best practices, proposing design improvements, and implementing solutions even when detailed mockups are not provided.
  • Write robust unit tests for your code using frameworks like Vitest, and contribute to establishing and maintaining end-to-end testing practices (e.g., using Cypress or Playwright).
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture discussions, justifying design choices and helping implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend development.
  • Proven expertise in building complex web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, MobX) and the ability to adapt to existing patterns.
