Job Overview

We are seeking a Counterparty Credit Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing drafts of annual Borrower Rating (BR) and Aircraft Finance Rating (AFR) for airlines and lessors, as well as spreading financials of airlines and lessors for submission along with renewal format and analysis paper for Annual Credit Review (ACR).

The role involves supporting ongoing monitoring of single names and portfolio, drafting and developing cashflow forecast models to support recommendations, participating in credit due diligence as part of portfolio review process, as well as in onboarding of new clients and following key risk events.

The Counterparty Credit Analyst will finalize papers following review by line managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Quickly assess pertinent credit issues and analyze risk reward trade-off
  • Develop technical skills and industry knowledge related to the role
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with internal rules and reporting procedures
  • Undertake specific country and industrial sector research and other project work as assigned
Requirements
  • 5-6 years of experience in reviewing and writing counterparty credit analysis of Airlines and/or Aircraft Lessors
  • Credit experience working with Investment Grade and Non-Investment Grade counterparties
  • Aviation coverage is viewed favorably, albeit not mandatory, other asset-finance experience would also be beneficial
  • Strong quantitative background with solid understanding of accounting and financial data analysis
  • Clear and concise business writing style reflecting capacity to distil critical information from large data sources
  • Ability to conduct thorough due diligence and form forward-looking view using cash flow modelling and stress testing
