Job Summary:
We are seeking a Highly Skilled Avionics Software Architect to join our team in India. As a seasoned professional in the avionics domain, you will be responsible for developing safety-critical real-time embedded software that conforms to DO 178 C standards. Your technical leadership skills will guide the team in both technical and process aspects, ensuring high-quality software development and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead requirement engineering activities (gather system requirements, analyze and document software requirements)
- Comprehend global software architecture (static & dynamic) and contribute to incremental evolutions
- Develop high-level design and low-level design (HOOD/Class Definition/UML diagrams) - Efficiently perform coding, debugging, and build generation
- Coordinate with stakeholders and verification teams in resolving complex technical issues
- Troubleshoot issues reported by System testing
- Mentor junior team members to develop required competencies
- Maintain good professional relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
Requirements:
- More than 10 years of experience in full software lifecycle encompassing software requirements definition, dynamic & static design, coding, and unit verification activities in the avionics domain
- Hands-on experience in embedded software requirements engineering and architecture (static and dynamic)
- Design and development (algorithms, interfaces, scheduler, abstraction, and modularization)
- Embedded programming (C/C++/ADA)
- Unit testing
- Configuration and change management experience on RTOS & DO178 standards
- Working with global teams (multisite) resolving complex issues
- Knowledge about standards (requirements/design/coding)
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience on A653 compliant RTOS
- Project management skills
- Exposure to certification audits
- Exposure to different software development life cycle methodologies
- Exposure to industry-standard communication protocols (A429/CAN/AFDX)
- Knowledge about avionics systems and networks
- Ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders and customers
Estimated Salary:
Rupees 25 Lakhs per annum (approximate). Please note that this figure is based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
