Job Overview

The role of the RTL Engineer is to design and develop digital signal processing systems for various applications. This includes understanding customer requirements, defining system architecture, and partitioning algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or software.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for digital signal processing systems, including DSP, system, and board architecture.
  • Partition algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or software.
  • Provide estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and perform peer reviews.
  • Define, create, and maintain all project-related documentation, especially design documents with detailed analysis reports.
  • Provide support to customers during integration phases at test sites and support production teams.
  • Design and implement RTL functions.
  • Write HDL code and simulate it.
  • Implement and test designs on boards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • VHDL Knowledge: Proficiency in VHDL programming language and its application in designing digital circuits.
  • Xilinx Tools: Expertise in Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation, including ISE and Vivado.
  • FPGA Design: Experience in designing and implementing digital circuits on FPGAs, including VHDL/Verilog RTL coding and System C/System Verilog.
  • DSP Algorithms: Knowledge of DSP algorithms and their implementation in FPGA environment for Radar and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and presentation skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
