Senior Payroll Specialist Job Description

The Senior Payroll Specialist plays a vital role in the organization by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Execute monthly payroll cycles for assigned regions/entities with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Validate inputs including attendance, bonuses, deductions, and statutory contributions to ensure accuracy.
  • Compliance & Audit:
    • Evaluate and maintain payroll compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
    • Prepare and support internal and external audits related to payroll to ensure readiness.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Generate comprehensive payroll reports, variance analysis, and dashboards for stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Analyze payroll data to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
  • System & Process Improvements:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for payroll system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process enhancements.
    • Participate in UAT and implementation of new payroll tools or modules to streamline operations.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, preferably in a multi-country or large-scale setup.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll analytics to drive business decisions.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and SAP is an added advantage.
