Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer to join our team. As a cloud infrastructure engineer, you will design and develop scalable systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build production-ready platforms and services with a focus on efficiency, stability, observability, velocity, and scale.
  • Influence the architecture of our system as part of the Cloud Enablement journey, maintaining critical legacy tools and collaborating with development teams.
  • Work with software engineers and platform engineers to optimize and develop repeatable systems.
  • Help service owners establish realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and error budgets.
  • Provide production support and creatively solve challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Mentor new hires and other engineers by example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE, or software development, with an understanding of Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with server-side software engineering using languages like Python, Go, Java, BASH, etc.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, with a focus on performance monitoring and tracing instrumentation, and SLI/SLO/SLAs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

  • Possession of passion for leading technical initiatives, consensus building, and influencing design decisions.
  • Abundant experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and reaching consensus on prioritization.
