Senior Data Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and maintaining cloud-based data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouses. This role involves building scalable real-time and batch processing workflows using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Apache Spark.

A key responsibility of this position is preprocessing data for downstream analytics, including cleaning, transformation, deduplication, normalization, encoding, and scaling. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining cloud-based data architectures, following a medallion architecture, and deploying and optimizing data solutions on Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.

This role requires developing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data from IoT, MES, SCADA, LIMS, and ERP systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will automate data workflows using CI/CD and DevOps best practices, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.

The Senior Data Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing data pipelines for high availability and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate with automation teams, data scientists, and engineers to provide clean, structured data for AI/ML models.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and maintaining cloud-based data architectures.
  • Expertise in Azure Databricks, PySpark, Apache Spark, and AWS/GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of data preprocessing techniques, including cleaning, transformation, deduplication, normalization, encoding, and scaling.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
