**Job Title:** Category Merchandise LeadAs a Category Merchandise Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance and delivering customer satisfaction by developing, managing, and optimizing the General Merchandise category to meet customer needs and market trends.This position involves strategic planning, vendor management, pricing, promotions, and ensuring an engaging product mix for customers.**Key Responsibilities:
  • Category Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement the category strategy for General Merchandise aligned with customer needs, market trends, and company objectives.
  • Buying & Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and onboard vendors/suppliers for the GM category, negotiating terms including pricing, margins, credit, and delivery schedules.
  • Merchandising & Assortment: Design the product assortment, including core, seasonal, and promotional lines, ensuring the right product mix is available across stores and channels.
**Financial & Business Management:** Own the P&L of the General Merchandise category, drive margin improvement through effective sourcing and cost negotiations, and monitor sales, inventory, and stock turnover.**Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with SCM for demand planning and replenishment, partner with Marketing for promotional campaigns and product launches, and collaborate with Store Operations to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.**Required Skills & Qualifications:**

A Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field is required.
