Security Governance Consultant

The ideal candidate will support clients in enhancing their overall security posture and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Implement and maintain robust information security management systems (ISMS) frameworks based on international standards like ISO 27001.
  • Conduct gap assessments, risk analyses, and internal audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing documentation such as policies, procedures, statement of applicability (SoA), risk registers, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance and audit findings, ensuring seamless execution of corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular IT security audits and provide actionable recommendations for remediation plans.
  • Advise on risk management, compliance, and information security best practices to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging security risks and updates to relevant regulations, ensuring timely implementation of new controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in GRC, ISO 27001, ISMS, and IT audit.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001 controls, risk assessment methodologies, and audit lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST, GDPR, SOC 2 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
