Network Security Solutions Engineer

Become a key player in our engineering team responsible for developing high-end Cloud based Security Solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work in the rapidly expanding field of computer security, leveraging your skills in network security solutions to deliver cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and development of appliance stack.
  • Develop understanding of product functionality, its use cases, and architecture by interacting with team members and reading comprehensible code.
  • Study and decipher documentation needed to accomplish tasks, including standards, RFCs, protocol specifications, networking fundamentals, Linux platform fundamentals, virtualization, deep packet inspection, etc.
  • Debug issues in the product reported by internal QA teams or in production by customers and suggest solutions.
  • Document design and test plans as part of development activities.
  • Communicate with other team members, including QA team and collaborate as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must Have:
    • Computer Science/Electronics/Instrumentation degree.
    • 3-6 years software development or testing experience in Networking Systems.
    • Ability to write and comprehend written code in C/C++ and/or Python programs.
    • Passion to build a career in embedded systems, networking applicable to Network Security Systems.
    • Good academic record.
    • Good reading and comprehension skills to read technical literature and make inferences.
    • Ability to operate Linux and Windows Operating System commands and related applications.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Client Server Programming knowledge.
  • Additional skills that are good to have:
    • Good debugging skills, ability to inspect packet captures.
    • Understanding of Linux boot loaders, grub, kernel compilation, and networking stack internals, TCP/IP knowledge.
    • Knowledge of one or more protocols used in Network Security systems, eg. Radius, Diameter, LDAP, DHCP, ARP, DNS.
    • Knowledge of VPN, AAA, ACL, VLAN technologies.
    • Working knowledge of deployment of Virtual Machines such as Vmware.
    • Good understanding of Database concepts and good working knowledge with Oracle/PLSQL/Postgres.
    • Excellent analytical and program solving skills, excellent written and oral communication, self-starter, and highly motivated.
    • Work in a dynamic environment and ability to adapt quickly to changes.
