Machine Shop Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machine Shop Maintenance Specialist to optimize the efficiency of our machine shop operations.

About the Role:
  • Maintain and repair machine shop equipment, including grinding machines, turning centers, and machining centers
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspection
  • Analyze breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Monitor and report on machine performance, identifying areas for improvement

This is a critical role that requires a strong background in electrical/electronics engineering and hands-on experience in machine shop maintenance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CNC & PLC maintenance, including programming and troubleshooting, as well as knowledge of predictive maintenance and heat treatment processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality production and minimal downtime, while also contributing to the development and implementation of maintenance strategies that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and repair machine shop equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection, to prevent equipment failure and extend lifespan
  3. Analyze breakdowns and develop corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency
  4. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs
  5. Monitor and report on machine performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in machine shop maintenance, with expertise in CNC & PLC maintenance
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance, heat treatment processes, and induction hardening
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze breakdowns and develop corrective actions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
