Responsibilities

The Senior GCP Data Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data engineering solutions using GCP services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design, development, and deployment of technical solutions.
  • Analyzing different source systems, profiling data, understanding, documenting, and fixing data quality issues.
  • Gathering requirements and business process knowledge to transform data into a format geared towards end-user needs.
  • Creating design documents, Source to Target Mapping documents, and any supporting documents needed for deployment/migration.
  • Designing, developing, and testing ETL/data pipelines.
  • Writing complex SQL queries to extract and format source data for ETL/data pipeline.
  • Deploying ETL/data pipelines using DevOps tools to version, push/pull code, and deploy across environments.
  • Supporting the team during troubleshooting and debugging defects, bug fixes, business requests, environment migrations, and other ad-hoc requests.
