Senior Cost Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Engineer to join our team in Vestas India, Chennai. As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative and cost-efficient concepts for current blade projects. You will drive idea generation sessions in module teams, solidify and continue building a pipeline of cost-out ideas, and develop efficient, cost-effective, and safe cost-out idea generation processes.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a pipeline of cost-out ideas for all configuration modules.
- Drive implementation of cost-out ideas in alignment with technical functional leads within different sub-modules.
- Ensure project and operational milestones are known and updated - communicate changes to project teams.
- Responsible for achieving blades module cost-out targets year on year.
- Prepare and drive cost-out projects' peer and technical reviews.
- Financial analyzing of product cost including opportunity analysis, business cases, etc.
- Master's in Mechanical or allied group.
- Experience (Min 3+) as technical lead for cost-out projects or platform projects.
- Cross-function technical leadership defining scope, risks, limitations, etc.
- Expertise in cost-out idea generation tools, review of business cases using standard templates.
- Expertise in project planning using agile methodology.
- Expertise in product cost structure to enable cross-functional business to improvement/cost-out projects.
- Proactive and able to handle multiple tasks with varying timelines and priorities.
- Team player: strong collaboration focus and ability to motivate colleagues within project teams.
- Good communication skills to report effectively on project status at all levels of an organization.
