Senior iOS Developer Job Description

As a Senior iOS Developer, you will be responsible for driving the development of high-quality, scalable, and engaging iOS applications. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End iOS App Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust iOS applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and user experience.
  • Feature Implementation: Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to define and implement new features, focusing on innovative solutions that drive business growth.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, adhering to best coding practices and industry standards. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
  • Performance & Optimization: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve bugs to optimize app performance, ensure responsiveness, and enhance user engagement.
  • Integration: Work with RESTful APIs, integrate backend services, and leverage third-party libraries and tools to enrich application functionality.
  • Industry Trends & Tools: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in iOS and Mac development, utilizing Xcode, iOS SDK, and version control tools like Git.
  • Architectural & Design Principles: Apply a deep understanding of MVVM or other design patterns, UI/UX design principles, and work closely with design teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Xcode and the iOS SDK.
  • Strong understanding of iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI, UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Location.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and backend service integration.
  • Solid understanding of MVVM or other design patterns.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git.
  • Familiarity with third-party libraries and tools like CocoaPods and Swift Package Manager.
  • Knowledge of App Store guidelines.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in iOS app development using Swift, Storyboards, and Objective-C.
