Seeking a skilled professional for a challenging role involving complex data analysis and problem-solving.

This position involves resolving intricate data issues, working with schema migrations, rollback strategies, and collaborating in a global clinical trial system environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and debug data quality issues across multiple related tables.
  • Develop and execute advanced SQL queries using joins, CTEs, window functions, temp tables, and nested queries.
  • Implement schema-level fixes and develop rollback logic using tools like Phinx, Flyway, or Liquibase.
  • Collaborate with product and QA teams to validate fixes, create data validation test cases, and ensure reproducibility.
  • Document root cause analysis clearly and communicate solutions with stakeholders.
  • Utilize Jira for ticket management, tagging, and maintaining proper workflow.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Advanced SQL Development – strong hands-on experience with complex joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
  • Data Remediation Expertise – proven ability to debug and fix production data issues.
  • Database Migration & Rollback Experience – familiarity with schema migrations and rollback tools (Phinx, Flyway, Liquibase).
  • Data Validation & QA – ability to design and execute validation steps to ensure accuracy.
  • Experience with clinical trial systems, CTMS, EDC, or multi-tenant platforms (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and root cause documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in ETL processes, data pipelines, or big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
