Job Title: Spatial Management Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Spatial Management Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the automobile industry, particularly in the Body in White domain and Exterior/Interior.

  • This role requires defining measurement systems, locator strategies, and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and exterior trims in line with styling and manufacturing requirements.
  • You will ensure the robustness of measurement systems from part fabrication to complete BiW.
  • Analyze functional requirements of Body in White and create measurement strategies for the fitment of modules.
  • Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stakeholders.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up studies 1D, 2D, or 3D during the development phase to identify potential risks in production and provide solutions in terms of measurement strategy, alignment strategy, tolerance specification, assembly sequence, or design.
  • Execute tolerance simulation in 3DCS to replicate the production process digitally, using correct probability distributions in relation to manufacturing processes, and validate the robustness of the concept.
  • Evaluate quality and timelines of every delivery in the project.
  • Create Gap & Flush plans and concepts to ensure visual quality of the vehicle.
  • Discuss with cross-functional teams for incorporating feedback and providing solutions.
  • Create and align sub-module integration concepts to ensure fitment and fulfill production planning requirements.
  • Create and align closures integration concepts in line with gap and flush plans to fulfill requirements.
