Job Overview : Procal Technologies is currently seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team. As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for managing, migrating, and optimizing databases, particularly from MSSQL to PostgreSQL.
About the Role : The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in SQL and database management, with experience in MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases. In addition, the candidate should have a good understanding of data processing and parsing XML data.
Key Responsibilities : The Database Developer will be responsible for database optimization, data structure management, and performance tuning. They will also need to work with Python and the Django framework to maintain the web services gateway and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth data handling.
Required Skills : To be successful in this role, the candidate should have proven experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases, strong proficiency in SQL and database management, experience in Python programming and working with the Django framework, and understanding of data processing and parsing XML data.
Bonus Skills : It would be beneficial for the candidate to have experience with Google-based solutions and Elastic-based solutions, knowledge of cloud-based database management, and experience with scaling, database security, and optimization.
