
Cattle Feed Sales Strategist

We are seeking a skilled professional to develop and execute strategies for expanding our market share in the cattle feed industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop potential markets for cattle feed and distribution networks in targeted areas
- Track purchase and sales channel partners, and create awareness among customers through effective communication strategies
- Analyse competitors' activities to stay ahead in the market
- Manage and hire team members across different locations to achieve company goals
- Set sales targets for individual sales officers (SOs) and teams, and maintain and increase sales of company products
- Achieve set targets and goals within specific areas
- Establish, maintain, and expand customer bases
- Service existing customers and identify new business opportunities
- Develop innovative higher sales strategies to drive business growth
- Foster a high-performing team by setting clear targets and expectations, and providing necessary support and resources
- Potentially handle major customer accounts directly
- Collect and act on customer feedback and market research to inform business decisions
- Maintain regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions
- Suggest and implement brand promotional activities to enhance market presence and reputation
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, marketing, agriculture)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or a related field, preferably in the cattle feed industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed business decisions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
