Data Insights Specialist

Job Summary:

This is a high-impact role that requires strong analytical skills, experience with data analysis tools, and a deep understanding of database management.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or a related field, as well as experience working as a Data Analyst or in a relevant position.

  • Manage master data creation, updates, and deletion to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Configure user access controls and permissions for secure data management.
  • Verify data quality through import processes and collaborate with quality assurance analysts as needed.
  • Set up and decommission data sets while adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
  • Collaborate in report development, focusing on insights and trends.
  • Design and maintain the reporting environment, including data sources, security protocols, and metadata.
  • Support data warehouse teams in evaluating and refining reporting requirements.
  • Drive initiatives to improve data integrity and standardization.
  • Evaluate new or upgraded software and contribute to strategic decisions regarding system implementations.
  • Produce reports from single or multiple systems, identifying key performance indicators.
  • Troubleshoot issues within the reporting database environment and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Analyze changes and updates to source production systems.
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience working as a Data Analyst or in a relevant position.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Capacity to analyze existing tools and databases and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable language.
  • High-level expertise in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Proven experience handling large datasets and relational databases.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
