Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to lead our platform infrastructure design efforts.

This role will play a key part in driving the development of innovative internet infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our members, products, services, and backbone requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that completed infrastructure and application architecture aligns with our security, scalability, and availability standards.

  • Generating requirements together with architects, engineers, and users to determine that all high-level requirements have been met.
  • Creating products such as Technical Architecture Documents (TADs), technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep stakeholders up-to-date and in agreement on the application, system, or platform.
  • Ensuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete.
  • Resolving internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.
  • Researching and evaluating new technology for possible deployment in our internet infrastructure.

In addition, you may assume lead and total accountability for ongoing regional projects, including responsibility for planning, time and cost control, resource utilization, and implementation.

You will also implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components while leveraging current standards and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Thorough knowledge and understanding of network, operating system principles, and web middleware.

Thorough knowledge in one or more core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.

Advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls.

Working knowledge of database technologies.

Working knowledge of cloud technologies.
