We seek a seasoned Oracle Database expert to join our team in managing and maintaining high-performance databases.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure, upgrade, and monitor Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c) in production and development environments.
  • Perform database administration tasks, including tuning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Implement and manage RMAN backup & recovery, Data Guard, and Flashback technologies.
  • Monitor system health and performance, ensuring optimal levels of availability and security.
  • Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and instance-level configurations for peak performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation and standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams on query optimization, schema design, and capacity planning.
  • Configure and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or other monitoring tools.
  • Implement and maintain robust database security measures, including roles, privileges, auditing, and encryption.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle ASM.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and SQL query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with backup/recovery strategies using RMAN.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting and database patching/upgrade procedures.
  • Proven track record in managing large and complex databases and working in 24x7 environments.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure) for database deployment.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases or hybrid architectures.
  • Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP) are highly valued.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
