Accountant Job Description

Build a fulfilling career in accounting by taking ownership of tax filing and statutory compliance. Manage professional tax obligations, maintain accurate books using Busy accounting software, and oversee accounting for multiple branches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax filing and statutory compliance, including ROC, Income Tax, GST Registration and Amendments, GST Returns Filing, TDS Return Filing, etc.
  • Manage and monitor professional tax obligations in multiple states (Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate books using Busy accounting software; prepare and file returns using CompuTax or similar tax filing software.
  • Oversee accounting for multiple branches and locations, ensuring tight control and consistency.
  • Handle all aspects of e-commerce accounting (order reconciliation, payout tracking, GST nuances, returns, etc.).
  • Create and manage advanced Excel reports, dashboards, and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal teams to keep processes streamlined and fully compliant.
  • Vendor and Customer reconciliation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • CA (Inter) preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance for multi-location businesses.
  • Technical proficiency with Busy accounting software and working knowledge of tax return software like CompuTax.
  • In-depth experience with GST, TDS, ROC, and multi-state Professional Tax compliance.
  • Solid background in e-commerce accounting, able to handle multiple platforms and complex reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills: pivots, macros, VLOOKUPs, and report automation.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity are non-negotiable.
  • Proactive communicator and team player who can own and improve processes.
