Job Description:

As a seasoned backend engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and developing high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices. You will analyze existing .NET code that integrates with our loan servicing platform, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to the new Java stack.

The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who thrives on understanding complex systems, takes full ownership of their work from development to production, and is excited to leverage modern tools to accelerate our migration efforts.

  • Design & Develop: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Legacy Code Migration: Analyze existing .NET code that integrates with our loan servicing platform, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to the new Java stack.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Decommission our legacy .NET message broker and implement a modern event-driven system using cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Cloud-Native Solutions: Build and deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.

Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.

Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
