Senior Systems Architect Opportunity

We are an ambitious company in prop-commerce that leverages AI technology. The next 12-18 months will be about turning hard, ambiguous problems into robust systems with real users.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role (no people management at the start). As our technical lead, you will build the foundation of our systems - designing data models, writing production code, and shipping fast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing End-to-End Solutions: Designing data models, writing production code, and shipping fast.
  • Specific Initiatives: AI platform capabilities, high-throughput content processing, identity, privacy, and trust, data platform, product surfaces, and operational excellence.
  • Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Python, PostgreSQL, Flutter, ReactJS, AWS, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vector search (pgvector/Pinecone), LangChain/LlamaIndex.

Requirements:

  • 6-10+ years building production systems as the primary architect.
  • Hands-on experience with Java + Spring Boot, plus comfort with Python.
  • Exposure to Flutter or ReactJS in production.
  • Strong systems thinking: data models, performance budgets, failure handling.
  • Security & privacy instincts: PII handling, consent flows, audit trails.

Career Path & Title:

  • Start as Senior Systems Architect. Over time, choose your track: Principal/Distinguished IC (maximizing technical leverage), or CTO/VP Eng (when a team exists and needs leadership).

What You Won't Do (to start):

  • Manage people - this is a builder role first.
  • Architect by slide deck - your design docs end in merged PRs and measurable user impact.
