About the Role

The Financial Reporting Specialist will be responsible for obtaining report requirements and preparing and delivering insightful financial reports for Hearst Newspapers at the Corporate level and the local market level. This role involves working with business users to gather requirements, validate report accuracy, and communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create/modify Cognos and SSRS reports as requested by business users
  • Schedule queries to run automatically and set up to email reports to recipients
  • Modify the Cognos framework on an infrequent basis
  • Develop Informer queries to report on data from Naviga Ad
  • Explore and recommend other reporting tools that can replace Cognos
  • Prepare and present written and oral presentations
  • Maintain project status updates with management

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Cognos 11 and SSRS with 5-6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Informer queries
  • Individual contributor with excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Salary Range:$80,000 - $110,000 per year
