High-Performance Search Solutions Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced software engineer with strong knowledge of information retrieval systems to design and develop high-performance search solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will combine excellent software engineering skills with deep understanding of search algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods.

  • Develop high-quality, scalable search applications using modern search technologies such as Elasticsearch or Solr.
  • Design and implement advanced search functionality that delivers relevance, performance, and user experience.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create and optimize search algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods.
  • Collaborate on A/B testing strategies to measure search quality improvements and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in search technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on search technology.
  • 3+ years of experience developing search solutions with Elasticsearch or Solr.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with search engines like Elasticsearch or Solr.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of modern neural search techniques and vector embeddings.
  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with relevance evaluation metrics.
