Business Intelligence Analyst Job Description

This position requires a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying problem statements that can be solved through data analysis and visualizations using various BI Analytics Platforms.

Your role will involve working closely with partners and internal teams to understand these problem statements, extracting data from relevant sources, performing data cleaning, and developing automated scripts for cleaning and validation. You will also assess data quality, identify ways to improve it, and provide inputs to the team to enhance data collection and validation at the point of capture.

Additionally, you will be responsible for moving data between source and target systems, showcasing insights as data visualizations that drive decision-making, building data repositories, maintaining dataset integrity, brainstorming ideas, and creating prototypes of future tools and products. Your expertise in writing queries to fetch data from different types of data sources will be crucial in this role.

To succeed in this position, you will need a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or electronics, with at least 2-3 years of work experience involving logical thinking, data analytics, quantitative analysis, and algorithm optimization. Knowledge of database, analytics (especially BI from Zoho), application programming languages such as Python, R, etc., and cloud computing will be an added advantage.

You should have excellent communication skills, be willing to learn on the job, and experiment with different technologies. Constructive thinking to deal with difficult situations is also essential.
