Job Role Summary

We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Specialist to contribute to the design and protection of complex nuclear facilities.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Support development of safety cases for new schemes and existing facilities
  • Produce critical nuclear safety documentation as per Site Licence Conditions
  • Conduct hazard identification studies, qualitative and quantitative safety assessments, and deterministic safety analyses
  • Develop and manage safety strategies, fault and protection schedules, and hazard categorisation and assessment
  • Collaborate in bid and proposal production, implementing and contributing to safety initiatives

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
  • Technical professional with good engineering judgement and extensive experience in fundamental engineering principles
  • Record of delivering technically challenging projects
  • Experience in safety case production and/or hazard analysis
  • Able to produce high-quality technical reports
