Key Role: Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist to play a key role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure while delivering insightful analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Management and Analysis:
    • Supervise the management and maintenance of data collection tools used by all departments.
    • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and APIs.
    • Administer and optimize the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure.
    • Ensure high-quality, clean, and well-documented data pipelines and dataflows.
    • Implement and maintain data quality controls.
    • Manage special data projects as we expand into new areas.
  • Business Intelligence and Analytics:
    • Develop and maintain interactive PBI dashboards and automated reporting tools for various departments.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis using SQL, Power BI, Python, and Excel to provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
    • Present findings and insights to internal teams, financial institution partners, and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in data science, computer engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in SQL development and database administration experience (Azure SQL preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency with APIs and data integration methods.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, macros a plus).
  • Expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard/report design).
  • Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis.
